Applications for 76West Competition Due Monday, March 13
76West is an unparalleled clean energy competition focused squarely on growing entrepreneurs and jobs in New York’s Southern Tier region. Run by our friends at NYSERDA, the competition offers $20 million in prize money and support services, including a $1 million top prize.
The deadline to participate for 2017 is this Monday, March 13, and the application is available here.
2016 was the competition’s first year and saw $2.5M invested in six clean tech ventures. Micatu, an IncubatorWorks graduate, was the grand prize winner and brought in $1M to help advance its optical measurement technology for smart grids.
The investment is proving to be transformational to Micatu as it continues to invest in R&D and add 79 jobs right here in New York.
76West is designed to further develop the regional community of clean energy technology innovators, industry experts, educators, and investors, as well as help startups get early users for their technologies.
